Annual Pledge Drive

Dear Center School Families,

Welcome to the 2024–2025 school year! We hope this letter finds you and your loved ones in good health and high spirits. The past few years have brought unique challenges, and through it all, the unwavering support of our community for the PTA, teachers, and staff has been truly inspiring. Thank you for being such a vital part of The Center School family!

At The Center School, we are dedicated to fostering the intellectual and social development of our children. Middle school can be a transformative time, and The Center School provides an environment where students feel confident, valued, and inspired to learn. But this level of excellence requires more than the basic funding provided by the Department of Education—it requires us.

 

Why Your Support Matters

Each year, the PTA spends over $500 per child to provide essential programs and resources that directly enrich our children’s education. These funds support:

  • A computer teacher, ensuring our students are prepared for the digital age.
  • Additional lockers, so every student has access.
  • Books, supplies, and resources for clubs like Debate and TACS performances.
  • Special programs, including a nationally-sponsored spelling bee and outside speakers.
  • Dues and supplies for student activities, ensuring all children can participate.

 

The Role of the Annual Pledge Drive

In the past, our annual auction raised over $100,000 to fund these programs. While the auction remains an important event, we must increasingly rely on the Annual Pledge Drive to meet our fundraising goals. This year, we’re asking every family to contribute, at whatever level is possible for you. Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful impact. Our goal is 100% family participation!
